Red Maca Powder
Our organic red maca root is harvested by hand and sun dried to produce nutrient-rich raw red maca powder.

Description
The red maca root is the second rarest colored maca and makes up about 25% of an entire harvest. Red maca ranges in color from a pinkish hint to a deep purple tone and is separated from the rare black and standard yellow maca roots for its unique properties. Maca is sometimes called the Peruvian ginseng for its similar effect. Red maca is believed to have higher levels of certain phytonutrient compounds than black or yellow maca roots, which help to support antioxidant activity in the body. It is also suggested that red maca could reduce prostate inflammation and protect bone structure (also the case with black maca) over other colors of maca. Another factor that differentiates the red maca root is its sweet and subtle caramel taste.
